PLAYER
ACTIVE TIMES/PACE: Afternoon/evenings US-PST, slowish but up for some boomeranging sometimes. Often busy weekends because I work then.

SA: is fine as a discussion topic if it's just in someone's backstory, but I don't like it in my periphery as an active plot. Mention in the narrative or dialogue, such as a character thinking/talking about their past is something we can discuss. OOCly he is from a somewhat rough and tumblr grimy sci fi universe, and while he hasn't had personal experience with every way that people can be hurt by someone else, it just... wouldn't shock him. I just would want ooc warning and to figure out the terms/mediate the way it would be described.
Not comfortable with him actually seeing anything or direct aftermath in a memshare until he eventually gets canon updated to age 19.
Child abuse: I'm willing to explore child abuse topics or active child abuse in thread if it's pre-discussed or in a cw I can opt into. It's just if I'm not the one bringing it up in a thread I just need it to not hit me by surprise.

Please keep in mind if your character is not well-trained in fighting, he's basically at "child soldier trained from age 3 onward" territory, and is pretty ruthless if he feels threatened. Don't let the cute cat thing and tiny size fool you, he has a pretty high body count.
KILLING: Yes, sometimes, but let's talk about it first since child death may be a bit more intense than adult death for others, like players of CR.
RELATIONSHIPS: Game for all kinds. Platonic, familial, just an alliance, enemies, frenemies. He'll be a bit messed up by some events in canon and have trust issues but anytime he's been in that state he's gotten over it and opened up eventually. Especially would love for him to make friends with teens or other youngish people as he hasn't had many friends over his life and any friends he has had died or went insane.
ROMANCE/SMUT: Not at this current age. I don't even want PG romance with similar age teens because when the finale graphic novel is released later this year, I plan to canon update him to age 19, which would possibly age jump him past any teens he has puppy crushes with. (The graphic novel will have a 5 year time skip.) Possibly willing to ship him with similar age people after he's canon updated, depending on how mature he is and how he's depicted in the graphic novel, but it'd be awkward right now so that's a total no-go for the moment.

(We see him eating chocolate for instance so it's either not poisonous or would need to be in much larger amounts than chips in a cookie.) Plus some of the Chronomancer oddities.

FOURTHWALLING: Y, unlikely a character would be canon familiar, but sure, why not? He's aware of multiple timelines and people having dimensional duplicates because he's fought a million zombie versions of his own adoptive human father. He wouldn't be that weirded out by the idea of a universe where they just happened to write about his crew. He'd think it'd be cool to be famous.
NOT INTERESTED IN: Romance currently, until he eventually canon updates to an older age.
IC TRIGGERS: A note on Cato's IC triggers. He is a survivor of watching kids get executed, kidnapping/imprisonment, verbal/physical abuse, near-constant attack/attempted murder, losing a parent, and huge traumatic turns like finding out his father Avocato murdered his actual bio parents and basically kidnapped and raised him. He has IC triggers that I am OOCly comfortable with playing out with some discussion but could lead to complications in play. The two main ones:
IC Child Abuse: Please be aware that even if we're 100% cleared to go oocly on child abuse cw's wrt to player comfort levels, any active child abuse/harm/attempted murder that happens in front of him as done by an adult to other teens, or shown happening to kids in memshares, will twig him out, and may result in open attempted murder of the culprit because Cato is very casually comfortable with killing. This means it can poison CR permanently. We can manufacture external influences that could prevent the person from coming to harm and force him to permanently back off, but it'd be very hard to change the IC feelings because of his own trauma. Child kidnapping will cause a less severe reaction but still a pretty strong one.
Things that remind him of the time shard: If something reminds him of his time in the time shard or scares him into thinking he'd be trapped alone for somewhere for a prolonged period or stranded outside time again, he is at risk of mentally breaking down a little. This also means if he notices another Chronomancer not being careful about their power and risking suffering being trapped outside of reality, he might get real intense about trying to warn them off it and it'll be clear he spent some time unwell/went through some kind of "trapped in a weird time situation" related trauma.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
VISUAL: Very short (4'5") humanoid cat alien, kinda typical anthro but he does have a mohawk that's a bit more like hair than fur. He has dots for irises in the art style, and his adoptive dad is shown as having full yellow on his eyes to imply yellow irises, so I've hc'd his irises are green, for lack of any other info.
Everyone is depicted as skinny as hell in the art style, with a few joking Spongebob hyper-realistic shots sometimes where his father is shown as absolutely jacked in those shots. Cato was trained to fight from an early age, talks about doing 14 years of straight calisthenics, and is shown as being very strong for his size, so you can assume despite the skinny art style that he's visibly muscular, if wiry, for someone so young.
Does canonically wear a skirt in canon, isn't human, and is also from the far future (2881, hella far even past most Star Trek) where people don't give as much of a shit about it, so will probs be in gender bendy clothes a lot of the time and not really understand any human clothing conventions.

OLFACTORY: Smells exactly like a cat, in the way cats would smell at varying levels of cleanliness. May on occasion reek a little because he's an athletic teenage boy and used to long periods of not being able to do proper self-care.
DEMEANOUR: Very high energy and athletic, doesn't sit still easily sometimes. Occasionally hangs upside down by his tail. Vacillates between kind of adorable/precious/goofy in a young teen way and murderous and there's not a lot of space in between. When in serious/fighting mode he absolutely is capable of being a stone cold professional killer, as he was initially raised with the expectation he'd probably have some role fighting for the Lord Commander's dictatorship. He's got a little bit of a conscience and enough good will to fight for the general well-being of the universe, but he can get pretty ruthless.
Does have some cat mannerisms on occasion, like biting, clawing, baring his teeth, hissing, and yowling, or having his tail stand up in a bottle brush when pissed, surprised, or agitated. Probably would purr if happy enough but rarely ever is that safe and content.
